Teena Symonds trained at The Guildford School of Acting in Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre. She has danced at The Arcadia Theatre, Llandudno, The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford, The London Palladium and was Head Girl of Murray’s Cabaret Club, London. She danced in Ken Russel’s film “Isadora Duncan” and as an actress has appeared in many TV programmes, such as “The Bill”, “Darling Buds of May”, “Victoria Wood”, “Les Dennis Laughter Show”, “Portrait of a Lady” to name but a few.

Teena has choreographed for televised pageants on Runneymede, opera’s for First Act Opera and South East Opera and has written, directed and choreographed musical theatre shows up and down the country.

As a teacher Teena has taught at Guildford School of Acting (Ballet, Modern and Tap) was dance teacher at Brigidine Convent, Windsor, Eton college, P.N.E.U. School, Datchet. Teena opened The Symonds Stage School in Surrey which she ran for eight years. She taught Drama and Speech in Singapore and returned to England and has taught English and Drama at Helenswood, St. Richards and The Grove. Teena Opened The East Sussex School of Performing Arts in 1992 which moved to its current site in 1998.
